Smart Kids Foundation successfully hosted the “Young Entrepreneurs for Peace” workshop in Muea Community, southwest region of Cameroon, bringing together teenagers aged 10–17 years for an engaging learning experience focused on peacebuilding, entrepreneurship, and social change.
The workshop provided a safe and interactive space for young people to explore the relationship between entrepreneurship and peacebuilding. Through participatory discussions, practical activities, games, and teamwork, participants learned about peacebuilding and conflict resolution while discovering how entrepreneurial thinking can contribute to stronger, more peaceful communities.
The young participants were encouraged to identify challenges within their communities, develop creative ideas for addressing them, and consider how entrepreneurship can create opportunities while promoting social cohesion, cooperation, responsibility, and positive community engagement.
Beyond acquiring knowledge, the workshop gave participants an opportunity to express themselves, exchange ideas, build confidence, and work collaboratively. Their creativity and enthusiasm demonstrated the important role young people can play in shaping peaceful and resilient communities.
Smart Kids Foundation is proud of every young participant who took part in the workshop.
Through initiatives such as the "Young Entrepreneurs for Peace" workshop, Smart Kids Foundation remains committed to empowering children and young people with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities they need to thrive and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
